John has over 40 years’ experience within healthcare, both in a clinical setting and in Industry. Having 28 years’ experience in competitive intelligence, with organisations such as GE Healthcare, Roche, Takeda, Cancer Treatment Centre’s of America and UCB. He has undertaken more than 200 strategic workshops/war games within these companies, creating new and modified methodologies, such as Competitor Communication War Games. He and Hege Skjellerudsveen, designed the HUMINT Wheel (strategic use of human intelligence) and he designed the process of early identification of drugs with potential use in doping in sport for the IOC. John has in the last few years brought futures and foresight disciplines into the competitive intelligence arena, providing a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape. He has been an active member of SCIP for many years and is also a member of ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology). He is a lifelong supporter of Munster Rugby Club and Co. Limerick GAA Hurling.
